Jaime has served as pastor of FUMC Mexia since July 2022. She is a 2003 graduate of Texas A&M, a 2008 graduate of Baylor’s Truett Seminary, and a 2024 graduate of the doctoral program at Duke Divinity School. Jaime’s doctoral work focused on ecotheology (how we are called to live faithfully in God’s wonderful creation) and if you would like to join Jaime’s mother in reading it, you can find it here.
Jaime’s husband, Andy, has worked at the Methodist Children’s Home in Waco for 20 years, where he journeys with teenagers in all kinds of kingdom stuff. Jaime and Andy met on a blind date at a Valentine’s dance at a Baptist church on a Friday the 13th. They both thought it would be a disaster. It wasn’t.
Jaime and Andy have two children, Olivia (16) and Gaelen (10). Olivia plays the flute and piano and loves to read. Gaelen loves animals of all kinds and playing soccer. Because everyone in the family besides Mom has red hair, they are often called “The Weasleys.”
Jaime loves writing, preaching, gardening, reading, running, and playing the piano. She can eat disturbing amounts of chips and salsa and quote all of The Princess Bride.
Jaime was called to preach when she was baptized on her thirteenth birthday. She is deeply passionate about worship, preaching, and the power of the Gospel to transform lives and communities. Her heart is to help people grow in faith, recognize God’s presence in everyday life, and discover their place in God’s work in the world.

Erica has served as Minister to Children and Families at First United Methodist Church of Mexia since 2018. Her heart for children and families has been shaped by years of hands-on experience, including working in every age group, from infants to school age, at First Methodist Preschool beginning in 2007. Erica is passionate about creating spaces where children are known, valued, and invited to grow in their relationship with God. In addition to her work with children and families, Erica also oversees church communications and publications, helping tell the story of what God is doing in and through the life of the church.
She has been married to her husband, Richard, for ten years. Together they are raising four lively and wonderful children: Ava (15), Zoey (13), Phoenix (10), and Ezra (4). Life at home is loud, creative, and full of love.
Erica enjoys creating art with her family, hosting game nights, playing ukulele and watching Dexter reruns. She firmly believes naps are a spiritual discipline, Fleetwood Mac is always the right answer, and there is no such thing as too many forms of potato. Her favorite movie is You’ve Got Mail, and she will never turn down good Mexican food.

Hannah grew up in Huntsville, Texas, before moving to Joshua during her junior year of high school, where she graduated from Joshua High School. In 2022, she and her husband, Jacob, made Mexia their home.
Hannah and Jacob enjoy cooking together, spending time with friends, and making memories with their energetic son, Memphis (2), and their playful puppy, Tobi.
As Office Manager, Hannah helps keep the daily life of the church running smoothly. Her smiling face is usually the first you’ll see when walking through the church office doors. She plays an important role in the behind-the-scenes work that keeps the church connected and organized.
When she’s not chasing after her toddler, Hannah enjoys relaxing with a good show—favorites include Grey’s Anatomy, Sweet Magnolias, and anything true crime related. Her happy place is anywhere with sand and waves. She never says no to movie theater popcorn, ice cream, coffee, or sweet tea.

Seth has been playing the piano since the age of 10 and has grown as a musician through the guidance of many wonderful teachers along the way. Seth is a double major in piano performance and music composition at Baylor University and will be graduating May 2026.
Seth dreams of one day composing and performing music professionally for audiences around the world. He hopes to create music so meaningful and moving that it inspires others to discover a deeper love for God.
What Seth loves most about leading worship is the opportunity to use the gifts God has given him to draw people closer to Him and to reflect the beauty of God’s creation through music.
When he’s not at the piano, Seth enjoys listening to composers like Sergei Rachmaninoff and Maurice Ravel, spending time with friends, going to the park, and watching movies—especially Interstellar. If you’re ever looking for a good meal, he’ll point you to Baris in Waco.
