Centering Prayer is a quiet, contemplative form of prayer that invites us to rest in God’s presence. Rather than speaking many words, we gently release our thoughts and open our hearts to God’s loving presence within us. Centering Prayer creates space for stillness, listening, and deeper awareness of God’s work in our lives.

New Life Adult Sunday School Class gathers each Sunday morning at 9:30 for fellowship, conversation, and study of God’s Word. Led by Carol Ann Dawley, this group offers a welcoming space for adults to grow in faith together through scripture, discussion, and shared life.
At Men’s Prayer Breakfast you will find men from across our community gathered for a time of prayer, conversation, and breakfast. Hosted by churches throughout the area, this gathering is open to all men — whether you attend church regularly or not. Locations change each week, so check our e-news for the upcoming meeting place.

During the season of Lent, we are reading through the Gospel of Matthew together. Each week we spend time with a small portion of the story of Jesus—his teachings, his ministry, and the journey that leads to the cross and the hope of resurrection. This shared reading invites us to slow down, listen deeply to the words of Christ, and allow the story of Jesus to shape our lives during this sacred season.
The Justice Small Group meets regularly to study scripture and have faith-focused conversations relating to justice. The members seek to understand issues such as poverty, racism, and human dignity through a Christ-centered lens and have covenanted together to grow in faith, pursue justice, and embody Christ’s love in our community and world. Please contact Pastor Jaime to discern your calling to this group.

At FUMC Mexia, we are proud of ministries that we birth and grow and then outgrow us. This January, Packs of Kindness Child Nutritional Program became a community wide non-profit. We celebrate the increased partnership, diversity, and collaboration of this growing phenomenal ministry. FUMC Mexia is proud to currently offer our building to house this non-profit which reflects kingdom work in the Mexia community.
The Blessing Box is another example of a ministry that began at FUMC Mexia and has grown to something beyond us. We celebrate that there are blessing boxes, that are filled with food, toiletries, and other seasonal needs, throughout our Mexia community. Anyone can come--to give or receive--from our blessing box located on the corner across from the church campus.
